3DPS Europe – the mindset behind the workshop

3D Printing as Part of the Digital Theme Week Category: April 2024 – Published: April 12, 2024 As part of the Digital Theme Week, the upper-grade classes of our school had the opportunity to get acquainted with 3D printing thanks to 3D Printer Service Europe. They attended a presentation and watched a film about the history of 3D printing, as well as 3D scanning, modeling, and its various applications. The presentations highlighted that 3D printing is used in all areas of life, from medicine to food production, the automotive industry, and even space exploration. The students listened with great interest as they learned that on space stations, objects made from plastic and metal can be printed to replace unexpectedly damaged components. The presenters were happy to answer all questions that arose. Meanwhile, the students could also see 3D printing in practice, as several small objects were created during the session.
